Multifunctionality at minimal exposure of the original
Multifunctional scanners promise to capture all kinds of high-quality archival materials. For the archive sector, CRUSE has developed special new models.
The modular construction of these scanners is particularly suitable for archival material that can now be scanned very gently, with or without glass pressure plate. The method of CS-ST (Synchron Table) series scanner is the best way to digitise works of art and archival materials in the highest quality.
During the scanning process, the original is placed on a table and then put through a “scanning beam” with a distinctive light in synchronism with the reading speed while a minimal exposure to light is ensured.
The quality achievable with CRUSE scanners is much higher than what you’ve seen so far from conventional scanners. Our newest LED light exposure technique ensures minimal workload on the draft: Sensitive drafts are exposed to only one-tenth of light than it is the case with most other methods. The data obtained from this scanning are much more precise than usual.
Therefore, lower scan resolutions and much smaller file sizes are possible, which also reduces storage and processing times.
These scanners can be equipped with uniform texture effects, configured with different exposure modes and various book cradles. In addition, vacuum plates, which can be zone-regulated, can be offered with backlight units of various sizes and variable resolutions. Due to the small exposure of LED light on the drafts, the modular design of this type of scanner is particularly suitable for archives and libraries. As a result of this variety of options, this scanner can be configured individually on budget and is manufactured based on your customizing. Our ST-scanners can be used as a book scanner with 180° book cradle for a maximum book thickness of 25cm thickness and a size of A1. We also offer a cradle especially for antique books that may only be opened in an angle of 90 to 120°. In order to achieve facsimile quality, all scanners are equipped with an automatic light correction program, a scanning software CSx, Color 48bit and 8bit grayscale and b/w color management. You can also choose from the optional features, such as glass plate and book cradle.
