CRUSE Hybrid delivers impressive results, especially for objects whose structure is located on two or more different height ranges.<\/p>\n<p>The photometric stereo method calculates the 3D surface information based on its shading. Despite lower a lower amount of data and faster processing, the user can capture the finest details even with low-resolution scans. Also, there is no noise with stereo photogrammetry. However, the disadvantages of the photometric stereo method are, that it smoothens sharp edges and lacks absolute depth values.<\/p>\n<p>CRUSE Hybrid combines both methods in a unique way, so that the advantages of both approaches add up without their respective disadvantages. The detailed and error-free photometric results are combined with the exact height data of stereo photogrammetry using two additional scans at different angles.
